Asya Watkins is a speaker, author, and advisor shaping the future of leadership for women across the globe. She is the founder and CEO of Women Of Project Management, a global community elevating Black women across every specialty of the project management profession. What began as a vision has grown into a powerful platform offering conferences, retreats, education, and industry-shaping advocacy.
With over twenty years of leadership experience, Asya has built a respected career working with and within organizations such as Walgreens, CVS Health, Optum, and UnitedHealthcare, and partnering with industry leaders including the Project Management Institute and Western Governors University. She has been featured in Forbes for championing equity and inclusion in project management, spoken at PMI’s Summit in Beijing, and delivered talks for leaders at Apple, Mastercard, LinkedIn, and other industry giants.
As the author of The Little Black Book Of Project Management Advice, Asya is known for blending practical strategies with powerful storytelling, helping women lead with clarity, courage, and excellence.
Asya holds a Master of Business Administration from National University, studied at the illustrious Xavier University of Louisiana, earned her Six Sigma Green Belt from UnitedHealthcare’s Center of Excellence, and is a proud PMP credential holder. Her work continues to open doors for women across industries, creating spaces where leadership is reimagined and every voice has room to rise.
